Will my QR code expire?
Not here. A code made on this site is never switched off for non-payment, whether you paid for anything or not.
Our pledge
Every code made here keeps working whether or not anyone pays. Paid extras add convenience, such as bulk creation or your own domain. None of them is needed to create, edit, download or keep a code, and a refund never takes a code offline.
What can stop a code
Only abuse, illegal content or a binding legal order. That means destinations that Google Web Risk flags as phishing or malware, content that breaks the law, and court or authority orders we must obey. When we block a code, the owner is told why, if we have a way to reach them, and can appeal.
If this site ever closes
We will give 12 months' notice, offer a full export of every code's destination, and hand the redirect domain to a successor who keeps the redirects running.
Why codes expire elsewhere
Many "free" QR generators offer dynamic codes on a trial. When the trial ends, the codes stop redirecting until you buy a yearly plan, and the codes are already printed. Static QR codes cannot expire this way, because they hold their content inside the pattern. Dynamic codes depend on the company that runs the redirect.
How to tell what kind of code you have
Scan it and look at the address your phone shows before opening it. If it is your own website, the code is static and cannot be switched off. If it is a short domain belonging to a QR company, the code is dynamic and works only while that company keeps it running. Check that company's terms for what happens when a plan ends.
